Medical Administrator – 7Springs Medical Practice – Toowoomba

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Medical Administrator to join our team at 7Springs Medical Practice. This role provides high-quality administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice and an exceptional experience for our patients.

You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in supporting our doctors, nurses, and wider practice team in a busy, modern healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first point of contact
• Managing phone enquiries, appointments, and patient bookings
• Processing patient arrivals, billing, and Medicare claims
• Providing administrative support to doctors and nursing staff
• Managing correspondence, recalls, emails, and daily administrative tasks
• Maintaining reception area organisation and presentation
• Supporting team workflow during busy periods to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Best Practice or similar medical software (highly regarded)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• A friendly, calm, and professional demeanour with a patient-centred approach
