How do you feel about working at 7Springs as a GP?
I love my role as a GP for the privilege it gives me to help support patients in maintaining their best health and quality of life, including the potential that this journey may take us over their lifetime. Working within the 7Springs family supports this wholly as the practice ethos for holistic patient care and maintaining a high standard of ongoing medical education reflects my ideals for practicing medicine.

What are you areas of special interest:
Whilst I enjoy all aspects of general practice I have a special interest in women’s and sexual health medicine including pelvic pain, menopause and menstrual disorders; gender affirming care and all aspects of pregnancy management and post natal cares. I am a provider of IUD insertion/removal and Implanon insertion/removal. I am a current member of the Australian Menopause Society, Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia and AusPATH.

What is your billing Policy?

• < 5 years – Billed to Medicare
• 5 to 16 years – Discount Billed
• 17 to 75 years – Privately Billed
• Concession Cards – Discount Billed
• > 85 – Discount or Billed to Medicare in discussion with Doctor

Not all concession cards carry a discount; our discounted fees are for our patients in genuine need.

Hobbies:
Outside of work I enjoy being as active as possible with my three children, cycling, playing hockey and attempting to keep the weeds at bay in my garden! But I also like the chance for some time to catch up on some down time reading.

What do you see as the future for General Practice in Australia?
I feel strongly that continuing our emphasis on practicing preventative health in the primary care model of General Practice will support our communities to live their healthiest life.

What is your best medical tip for your patients?
Movement is Medicine! Keeping our bodies moving and active, in whatever form that you enjoy, has so many benefits so just for our current mental and physical health but also in the evidence that it prevents the progression to many chronic diseases.
