How long have you worked at 7Springs?
I am a founder member of Seven Springs Medical Practice, having emigrated from the UK in 2004 I have worked in the Darling Downs since 2005.

How do you feel about working at 7Springs as a GP?
Life as a GP is a privilege, a unique position where we are invited into our patients life journey for part of the way, supporting assisting and hopefully empowering our patients along the way.

What are you areas of special interest:

• I have a special interest in how our lifestyle impacts on the development on chronic disease and cancer, and how with simple lifestyle switches we can reduce our risk and that of our children’s risk in the future.
• Women’s health
• Children’s health
• Contraception including IUD

What is your billing Policy?

• < 5 years – Bulk Billed
• 5 to 16 years – Private Fee
• 17 to 80 years – Private Fee
• > 80 – Private Fee

Not all concession cards carry a discount; our discounted fees are for our patients in genuine need.

Hobbies:

• Cycling
• Walking with my golden retriever Ziggy
• Running
• Hiking
• Reading true and not so true stories
• Playing my favourite music at full blast whilst cleaning the house
• Cross stitch
• Playing the piano very badly
• Oh and watching England wap the wallabies (given up on the cricket) with my family.

What is your best medical tip for your patients?
Treat your body like a temple, use your food as medicine and remember exercise is the most underrated antidepressant.
